I picked up this monitor to replace a 17"CRT Dell monitor. Actually my wife got it for my Anniversary reveal. Stunning on movies, google earth, internet and my topographical programs for hiking. I ordered an Radeon 9550 video card factual after I got this monitor and once installed it automatically adjusted the conceal to 1440x900. I also cherish that it comes with a DVI cable in the box. These things urge from $30 on up. Very tickled with the monitor and I'm positive with the 3 year warranty I will have it a long time.
For the imprint and size, this makes an good gaming monitor (though not THE best) . PS3 looks top-notch over DVI (I employ an HDMI cable with HDMI adapter for DVI) .
Though this monitor is a TN Panel, it is detached fairly brilliant and displays colors very well. Unbiased be positive to adjust your settings, factory settings lack at displaying a friendly represent.
I consume the VGA port for my PC, and while it looks reliable, DVI looks slightly better (but again, DVI is for ps3) .
With PS3, 1080P downscaled on this monitor looks perfect and is better than 720P upscaled. With the 1440x900 resolution of this monitor, stretched out 720p looks very blocky, but 1080P downscaled looks very detailed and spellbinding. Granted, its not beefy HD, but its definitely edifying enough :]
Also with PS3, difference and color on this monitor is despicable to my Sony KDL26M4000, but I retract the sterling response time of the Dell (5ms vs. 8ms makes a Substantial inequity for me) . The Dell also has a tilt function and is more portable.
Cons of this monitor:
-No HDMI port (have to utilize an HDMI/DVI adapter)
-No Component/S-Video/Composite ports (but they are really not needed)
-No built-in speakers (I expend external ones)
-No usb (I would'nt consume it anyway)
-Viewing Angle (Tilt eliminates this quandary for me)
For the heed (well under 200 bucks), this is a vast, cheap alternative
to buying an expensive hdtv if you do a lot of gaming.

First off all, don't blame your monitor if your video card doesn't back the improbable 1440x900.
This monitor is crisp, doesn't have the ghost effects of many lcd displays, the conceal refresh is hastily enough that I can play games without shooting at a ghose instead of another player, and its fair a generally mountainous monitor. I replaced a 17" CRT, and the CRT sits on the floor (anyone need a apt CRT monitor cheap? )
